Getting Started
Dropal lets you extract color palettes from photos, create mesh gradients, and design unique wallpapers. Here are common topics to help you get the most out of the app.
Frequently Asked Questions
- How do I extract colors from a photo?
Go to the Palettes tab, tap +, and select "From Image". Choose a photo from your library or take one with your camera. Select between Dominant, Vibrant, or Muted extraction modes and pick 3 to 8 colors.
- How do I create a wallpaper?
Go to the Wallpapers tab, tap +, and choose a starting point: Template, Mesh, Palette, Color, Gradient, or Photo. Customize with overlays (shapes, emoji, text) and export.
- How do I create a mesh gradient?
Go to the Meshes tab, tap +, and choose From Palette, Random, or From Image. Drag the control points to shape your gradient.
- Are my creations synced across devices?
Yes. All palettes, meshes, and wallpapers sync automatically via iCloud across your iPhone and iPad.
- What export formats are supported?
Palettes can be exported as Image, JSON, Adobe ASE (Pro), or .dropal format. Wallpapers export as images at device resolution, HD (1080x1920), or 4K (Pro).
- What does Dropal Pro include?
Unlimited palettes, meshes, and wallpapers. Premium template categories, Adobe ASE export, high-resolution wallpaper export, and more overlays per wallpaper.
- How do I restore my Pro subscription?
Go to Settings and tap "Restore Purchases". Your subscription will be restored automatically.
- How do I add widgets?
Long-press your Home Screen, tap +, search for "Dropal", and choose Color Palette or Mesh Gradient widget in small, medium, or large size.
System Requirements
Dropal requires iOS 18.0 or later. iCloud sync requires an active iCloud account.
Manage Subscription
You can manage or cancel your Dropal Pro subscription at any time through your iPhone's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions, or directly from the App Store.
